The initial phone call

With 40 years’ experience, our hand-selected team will always strive to ensure that your time with us is memorable and your final portraits are beautiful!

For that reason, we want to be sure to create images that will be meaningful to you and your family in the decades to come.

On your initial call, we will explain how the process works and answer any questions you may have. If what we discuss fits with what you have in mind, we can look at available appointment times, so please have your diary handy.

Once a suitable time has been secured, we will email you important information to help you prepare for your time with us. Within this email is a link to our Dress Code to help you with clothing for your Portrait Experience.

Your Portrait Experience

Your first appointment with us is your Portrait Session. Your Session is set in one of our beautiful studios and is going to be relaxed and fun. One of our experienced photographers, all who have been trained by founder Mark Strachan, will go about creating beautiful images of those you care most about, in a way you will love! Examples of our work can be found here.

Directly after your Portrait Session, you will be booking your Portrait Ordering Appointment.

To save you having to come back through traffic on another day, your Portrait Ordering Appointment happens in the comfort of your very own home via Zoom and usually happens within 7 days of your Portrait Session. During this Appointment, we will provide you with valuable advice in selecting your family’s portraits and we will ensure that what you decide is right for you, your family and your home. Even though you may finish early, please allow 90minutes for this appointment. We want you to make the right choices after all!

Pets

Firstly, for the safety of our staff and other clients, pets must remains on lead at all times. Our photographer will let you know when is the right time to remove the lead. We only ask this as in our many years of experience, some pets can get a little excited/nervous when in a new environment or around new people. So for everyone’s sake, we ask that they remain on lead until instructed otherwise.

It is important that pets are groomed before the Session and their fringes are clipped so that their eyes are clearly visible – this is where we can bring their personality out! We also advise to clean around their eyes to remove any gunk.

If your Fur Baby has favourite toys that you’d like to include in your portraits, please bring them along but keep them hidden so that they are not aware they are there – we want to have some reward available to help them cooperate!

If they are a little hungry they will be more responsive to treats – please bring whichever is best, but same as the toys, please keep them hidden. Our photographer will know the right time for them to be revealed in the Session.

If you are bringing a dog, we would advise that you take them for a short walk before coming to the Studio. This will calm their excitement levels and make it easier for us to get those perfect portraits!
